To help students increase their knowledge of anatomy and increase their skills in drawing anatomical features
Anatomy theory, drawing anatomical features, understanding proportions of a human body, bones and muscles and then how to render them accurately in drawing
Recommended for first and second year students who have taken basic practical courses, animation.

To help students increase their understanding of how to use cameras, editing equipment, and lights and to help students increase their knowledge of movie history and theory
Introduction to movie production as it relates to digital media. The emphasis will be on the creative process rather than the ever-changing technology. Two short movies will be studied by the end of the course.

3516 Basic 2D Animation (4/3) theory+practice, major elective
To help students to increase their basic knowledge of 2D animation and its techniques. For students who want to become animators or directors in animation art.
Step by step animation techniques for students to learn basic to advanced level animation skills, general history and theory of completed progress of animation courses, and complete 2D animation from storyboard to animation film (before post production)
Recommended for 2nd to 4th year students who have already acquired basic knowledge of animation, especially 4th year students who are about to prepare their graduation film. However any student who wishes to learn how to make 2D animation will be permitted to enroll.
3518 Basic 3D Animation (4/3) theory+practice, major elective
Students will learn methods of modeling 3D characters in 3D animation through the frame of Polygon-line in modeling 3D characters.
Maya program and the ZBrush program, design of 3D characters in 3D animation, creation of a 3D character in a step-by-step process: creating a character's face, trunk, arms, hands, and legs separately.

3519 3D Character Design (4/3) theory+practice, major elective
To help students design a conception of a 3D character and an effective production method. 3D characters can be produced by using 3ds max, and various poses are rendered
In 3Ds max, the media structure will be covered. The basics of each shape of each character modelled will be studied and produced. The work of 3D character design will be understood by practicing a variety of expression methods.

3524 3D Character Animation (4/3) theory+practice, major elective
To help students develop basic skills in 3D character animation
Production of basic movements suitable for the features of the object is made for the 3D character. Design of various motions by remembering the operations suitable for the situation. Production of animation by matching the bone data and the modeling data. Control of camera and lighting in character animation.

Basic film editing methods using after effects, premier, vegas, etc.

As a final step this course helps student complete a 2D animation graduation work
Use of graphic software to integrate lessons from previous courses in 2D animation to bear upon graduation project
Open to sophomores who have taken a previous foundations courses to produce 2D animation graduation work
3526 Advanced 3D Animation (4/3) theory+practice, major elective
to improve the ability to plan animation and to increase the ability to manipulate 3D tools.

4423 Special Effects in Digital Imagery (4/3) theory+practice, major elective
To help students increase their knowledge about 3D digital effects and the basic aesthetics of digital animation
Representation (water, fire, wind, explosion) in a virtual 3 dimensional world and digital animation
Open to all. Recommended for beginners.
4424 Digital Cinema 2 (4/3) theory+practice, major elective
To help students increase their knowledge of digital videography, lighting, location audio, and digital post-production and to help students increase their production skills in shot movies, CF's, documentary's. etc.
Classes include an emphasis on research, pre-planning and writing skills as integral components of Digital cinema production. Students gain production experience working individually and in groups. Students will make a film with the help of their crew.
Recommended for 3rd and 4th year students who have taken digital cinema 1 .
