To help students increase their knowledge about the essence of tourism.
In order to introduce the students tourism in a real setting, we will have a class integrating the theoretical and the realistic, trying to have them understand tourism and showing a glimpse of tourism administration. The definition and history of tourism, the kinds and development of tourism resources, and the tourism industry from a basic theoretical view to the general issues related to tourism.
Open to all. Recommended for beginners.

To teach the characteristics and management issues of major service industries such as distribution, the recent tourism and food service industry, and techniques in each area of service related management.
To educate an elite labor force in the service industry.
Learners systematically learn the service concepts and management phenomenon of businesses supplying services, understand customers' psychology and behaviors, form customer-oriented minds, learn special knowledge and use it regarding the understanding and evaluation of service activities.

To help students increase their knowledge about the operation and management of travel agencies.
For teaching students the essence of the travel industry, the history of the development of travel and the current situation, travel agency organization, work content, the traits of a travel agency's administration, and the characteristics of tourism goods. They will become familiar with the meaning and definition of travel, the function of the travel industry, and the administration and business strategies needed to be the business leaders in the future.

This course is an introduction to the Airline Industry and examines it's characteristics and diversities and foresees the emergence of new tourism business areas. The aim of this course is to enhance the students' level of understanding of the Airline industry through the analysis of tourism market/industry relations and practical cases in this area.

Tourism Geography and Resources (3/3) 관광자원론, theory, Major Elective, teacher credit course
To help students who want to understand the relationship between tourism resources, human beings, resource formation, and changes in spatial structure.
To identity the major geographical components of tourism generating areas, tourist receiving areas and transit routes.
To learn what factors change general resources into a tourism resources and how to create tourism products.
'Tourism resources' explores regional tourism resources' development, planning and process through it's basic theory. This subject provides the most substantial theories of tourism resource development as well as the examination of contemporary regional tourism planning. In this course, students will study the problems and policies related to natural resource analysis and the development and usage of resources, with a focus on the geographical meaning of these resources.

To help students who want to know the overall themes of tourism marketing and customer satisfaction. To teach the students the basic principles of tourism marketing as well as to allow them to acquire a marketing and tourism business management mind-set.
The subject provides documents on the basic principles, and applies these principles to actual situations through various case studies. Students who are not ((on the level of taking tourism marketing theories)) are allowed to take this subject. This course teaches the detailed educational process of the tourism marketing theories, mix and strategy, which will help those who have already taken the theory class.

To analyze the social, cultural, and political impacts associated with festival behavior and event development
To emphasize a case study approach; theories and methods for assessing individuals, communities, and organizations impact at local and regional levels; host/guest interactions; evaluation of the processes of event planning and decision-making; and qualitative and quantitative measures for assessing social impacts.
This course teaches the theory and practice of events planning, International Convention and Tourism Products as well as regional festivals using select examples of Convention planning and Events.
